Heaven and Hell, Megadeth, & Down, Sonic Attacks got you covered!
Sing me a song, you're a singer
Do me a wrong, you're a bringer of evil
The Devil is never a maker
The less that you give, you're a taker
So it's on and on and on, it's Heaven and Hell, oh well
The lover of life's not a sinner
The ending is just a beginner
The closer you get to the meaning
The sooner you'll know that you're dreaming
So it's on and on and on, oh it's on and on and on
It goes on and on and on, Heaven and Hell
Listen this Thursday as we get set for one of the biggest metal concerts of the year, Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio singing! And later that night the concert itself at the ACC. Don't you dare miss either show...

DEREK "JETHRO" TULLY!!!
It's been great having Derek Tully on the show the past few weeks, and I hope that comes across to our listeners as well. How no one else on the planet gave him the nickname "Jethro" with a last name like Tully until now I'll never know, but that's what I'm here for.
Derek will be looking to bring our listeners some great interviews over the coming weeks, so keep your ears tuned, and listen to CHRY at other times and you may just hear Derek spreading some more metal all over the airwaves!

We Bring the Rock, We Bring the Metal!
Sonic Attack is your weekly dose of heavy metal madness, spanning the earliest roots of the genre to the latest new music. You'll also hear progressive and psychedelic rock mixed in, and maybe even the occasional jazz or hip-hop song, but mostly you'll just hear an ear-splitting splitting metallic assault and a blaze of guitar solos. That's why your humble host Robin Zinger refers to it as a "mostly metal" show.
I'm always looking for new music to play, especially independent and Canadian stuff, so please send those cds the old fashioned way to the CHRY music department at:
CHRY 105.5FM

PROCEED THE WEEDIAN NAZARETH!!!
Last week we did one of those crazy things you can only do on college radio, as we played Sleep's Dopesmoker in it's entirety!!! That meant 63 minutes straight of classic and totally commercial-free doom/stoner rock, and the longest song I've ever played or heard in my life. Go google the lyrics, trust me, and you'll see why it was originally called Jerusalem, and read the story of the record label troubles too.
The closest thing I ever heard to that is when Q107 played Jethro Tull's Thick As A Brick all the way through as me and my brother drove home from downtown Toronto, although that song is only a measly 45 minutes long.
Just goes to show you never know what you're going to get when you enter the Sonic Attack, so be listening this Thursday at 1pm eastern time, and online at chry.fm. CHEERS!
Little known fact: Sleep played with the Hawkwind related Space Ritual 1994! No wonder I like them.
